BOOK: Su Contrato de relación como cuidador de un ser querido: Cómo navegar las dificultades que surgen por los nuevos roles y expectativas by Debra Hallisey and Paula Muller

The Spanish-speaking population in the US is growing. Unfortunately, within the health care and social services arena, they are an ‘afterthought’ for mainstream service providers. Language barriers are far too common.

The Spanish Language translation of Debra Hallisey’s book, Your Caregiver Relationship Contract: How to navigate the minefield of new roles and expectations, provides important perspectives and tools that can help Hispanic caregivers and families. Paula translated Debra’s book; their collaboration arose organically from their connection in the community and their personal experiences.

EVENT (Recurring): Happy Healthy Caregiver Virtual Cafe with Elizabeth Miller
These virtual cafes offer a creative way to support family caregivers and share resources under the umbrella of having a bit of FUN.

Elizabeth also hosts the bi-weekly Happy Healthy Caregiver Podcast that has been recognized as a Top 10 Caregiving podcast. Listen either HERE or on iTunes as family caregivers share how to be happy & healthy while caring for others. Elizabeth provides personal stories and practical tips and shines the caregiver spotlight on other current or former family caregivers.

EVENT (Recurring): An Unhurried Conversation on Grief and Loss with Kathy Murri
In our society, there are few places where one can talk about grief and loss with others. The Unhurried Conversation provides a format for doing so. It is not a support group but more like a conversation that might happen in a cafe among a group of friends–personal, philosophical, heartfelt and supportive. It is unique among the current offering of unhurried conversations as well as among groups for the bereaved.

This monthly event is ticketed, but tickets are free.
